Why this store exists

Most of what is sold for cleaning a retainer, grooming an animal or scenting a room overstates what it does. The percentages are invented, the photographs show accessories that are not included, and nobody tells you what the product cannot fix.

We carry a small number of things we have looked at properly. Every page describes what the object physically does, and every page has a section about where it stops.

A clear night guard lying flat in the cleaner's stainless steel tank

We ran it before we wrote about it

A well-used night guard, a plain-water cycle. The water came out cloudy — soft film and debris lifting off the surface and out of the pores.

The hardened mineral deposits on the biting surfaces did not move. They did not move with a cleaning tablet either.

So that is what the page says: maintenance, not rescue. Clean an appliance weekly and it never reaches that state. Once it has, nothing in a tank brings it back.

Appliance Care

Cleaners, cases and flossers for the things worn every night and carried every day. Most of what goes wrong with a retainer or a night guard is a maintenance problem, not a manufacturing one.

  • No invented numbers

If a figure appears on a page, it came from the manufacturer's own documentation or from measuring the object ourselves. Where we could not verify something, we left it out rather than repeating it.

  • What it will not do

Every product page carries this section. It is the part most likely to talk you out of a purchase, and it stays on the page for exactly that reason.

  • Selected, not manufactured

Seravanti chooses and ships. The objects are made by other companies, and where another name is printed on the product we say so rather than cropping it out.
